Take the time to sit down and write answers to the following questions: What are my current strengths? What can I improve? How can I accomplish my goals?<\/p>\n<p>Perhaps you want to <a href=\"https:\/\/swimmirror.com\/blog\/mastering-freestyle-timing\/\">improve your freestyle timing<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/swimmirror.com\/blog\/how-improve-your-butterfly-stroke-5-steps\/\">perfect your butterfly stroke<\/a>, or maybe you just want to spend more time swimming. Whatever the case may be, make your goals specific and realistic. Most of the time, holding yourself accountable makes it easier to stick to a routine. Get family and friends involved on your plan and they\u2019ll be there to cheer you on to help you accomplish your goals. And why train alone? Grab another fellow swimmer to train with you and make a plan to reach your goals together!<\/p>\n<p>Don\u2019t be discouraged if you don\u2019t follow your plan to a T, the most important thing to do is to listen to your body and adjust your plan accordingly. Maybe one day your muscles are extra sore and that strenuous workout you had planned turns into a simple stretching session. Just remember the most important part is staying consistent.
